Ted Thomas

I've not always had a wellness identity. Rather, my journey has included an illness identity. One day, a stranger, unknowingly sent seven life-changing words in my direction, "Life doesn't have to be that way." I grappled with that statement, peering inside it, and discovered that "life doesn't have to be that way."
From there, spawned a new journey heading out of the patient-hood role and into person-hood. My shift from an illness identity to a wellness identity included very special people to walk alongside me, in front by leading me, and hanging back behind with encouragement, empowerment, compassion and empathy.
I live my life through the lens of curiosity, compassion and empathy. There are more gifts and talents, but those are for another day--another post.
